The Celebration of Endoenças is a centuries-old Holy Thursday procession that illuminates the banks of the Rivers Tâmega and Douro with thousands of candles.
The small lanterns are placed on the banks and in boats, creating a scenic atmosphere of great beauty.
The procession carries the Lord of Passos, around 9 pm, from the parish church of Torrão to the Chapel of St. Sebastian (Entre-os-Rios).
On Friday, at 3 pm, the procession takes the reverse route, returning to the parish church of Torrão.
